Lena Lennerhed is professor in History of Ideas. Her research focus on ideas on sexuality and gender in 20th century Sweden. Lennerhed´s thesis Frihet att njuta (1994) dealt with the swedish sex-liberalism in the early 1960´s. She has also studied the formation and development of swedish sex reform organisation RFSU (Riksförbundet för sexuell upplysning). A monography on illegal abortion in swedish history, Historier om ett brott, was published in 2008. Ongoing research focus aids and civil society in Sweden.
