Interior from Södertörn UniversityThe School of Culture and Education includes the following subjects: English, Aesthetics, Aesthetic Learning Processes, Philosophy, Gender Studies, Art History, Comparative Literature, Media and Communication Studies, Education, Rhetoric and Swedish, as well as Teacher Education and the Centre for Studies in Practical Knowledge.

Teachers and researchers at the school largely work across subject boundaries, and Teacher Education involves teachers from a number of subjects at the school and from other academic schools at the university.

Culture and Education

The School of Culture and Education includes the following subjects: English, Aesthetics, Aesthetic Learning Processes, Philosophy, Gender Studies, Art History, Comparative Literature, Media and Communication Studies, Education, Rhetoric and Swedish, as well as Teacher Education and the Centre for Studies in Practical Knowledge.

Teacher Education involves teachers from a number of subjects at the school and from other academic schools at the university.

Education

Teacher Education currently provides fourteen degree programmes at Bachelor's and Master's levels (first and second cycle) in the areas of pre-school, primary and secondary education and recreation. The school also offers five other Bachelor's programmes and most subjects at the school offer education up to Master's and doctoral level.

There are around 40 doctoral students at the school, of which the majority are affiliated with the research area for doctoral studies known as Critical and Cultural Theory. Teacher Education has five doctoral students.
