Students.Our aim is to provide students at Södertörn University with the best possible service and support, so this area of the website gathers practical information that we hope and believe you will find useful.

Do you want to know how to apply to higher education or when the semester starts? Do you need to contact the Student Health Service, or perhaps you are planning to become involved with a student organisation? Do you want to apply for a degree certificate but are unsure how to go about it? Many questions can arise during your studies; if you can't find the answer you need here, please contact one of our study guidance advisors or Student Support Services. They will be happy to help you.

Passwords

Once you have registered for a course or programme, you receive an SH-Account with a username and password. You can collect your SH-Account and your SH-Card from the front desk at reception about a week after registering.

If you already have an SH-Account and have problems logging in, it may be because your password has become locked. Your password must be updated once every 380 days.

If you use an Android mobile phone and have problems logging in, try downloading another browser, e.g. Chrome.
To be able to log in you must allow cookies in your web browser. The information in the cookie is only used for this and we do not save any personal information.

NB. Only students can change their password via the above link. Staff should contact MedieCenter to change a password or get login information. More information about changing passwords is available in the login guide.
 

Changing your password

You need your keycard number to change your password. This is at the bottom of your keycard (see the red arrow in the picture below).

When you change your password, it is synchronised with all the systems (university computers, DiVA, Office 365, SH-StudyWeb and the university’s wireless network). NB! It may take up to 15 minutes before your new password works.

NB! Do not use Å, Ä or Ö in your password as this may cause problems logging in on some equipment. The password requirement is 7 characters.

If you don’t have your SH username or SH-Card, or if it doesn’t work, come to us and update it. Please remember to bring a valid ID or use a power of attorney. Please note that your representative must present a valid ID.

Power of Attorney for Students

You must collect your user ID in person. If you have specific reasons for not being able to collect it, you can
obtain it via a representative. Complete the Power of Attorney so your representative can take it to MedieCenter.
