Many of the research groups and research projects strive to achieve a high level of contemporary and social relevance. Critical and Cultural Theory is an interdisciplinary research environment and graduate school that focuses on a critically motivated study of cultural artifacts and practices.
Environmental Studies combines approaches and methods from different disciplines in order to achieve in-depth knowledge and understanding of the causes, scope and management of problems relating to the environment and natural resources, as well as the necessary conditions for sustainable growth
Historical Studies is an area of the humanities in which different aspects of society, culture and cultural heritage are studied from the point of view of a range of disciplinary traditions
The research area consists of four academic disciplines: Business Studies, Economics, Political Science and Sociology.
