Political Decision Making and Environmental Management I

Course 7,5 credits

This course provides students with Master’slevel knowledge of environmental and political decision-making at various analytical and political levels. A comprehensive study of central research traditions is carried out to strengthen the student’s ability to understand complicated decision-making contexts, such as globalisation, regionalisation and administrative decentralisation. The classical debate between proponents of rational choice theories and their critics is studied and discussed. Special emphasis is given to studies of policy situations involving a multitude of stakeholders, institutions and networks.

levels affects governance patterns
