The Centre for Baltic and East European Studies and the School of Culture and Education, Södertörn University in Stockholm, Sweden will host the 12th International Conference on Romani Linguistics in 2016.

The Centre for Baltic and East European Studies and the School of Culture and Education, Södertörn University in Stockholm, Sweden will host the 12th International Conference on Romani Linguistics in 2016. The conference will take place in Stockholm from September 14 to 16 simultaneously with the 2016 Annual Meeting of the Gypsy Lore Society.

All papers regarding Romani Linguistics are welcome In addition to papers in English, contributors are invited to presented papers in Romani (all varieties welcome).
Papers should be 20 minutes long with an additional 10 minutes allotted for discussion.
 

Requirements for proposals

Individual papers

Please send your abstract of no more than 250 words and indicate whether this is an open submission. All papers will be reviewed by the scientific committee of the conference.
Deadline for receipt of abstracts: April 30, 2016.
You will be notified if your contribution has been accepted by June 1, 2016.

Poster presentations

The conference provides facilities for poster presentations. Posters will be displayed during the duration of conference. Depending on the number of submissions accepted, a few poster-presentation sessions are planned as “guided tours”. Posters must present research projects and results. Posters should meet academic standards in both content and form. The presentation of the poster should not exceed 5 minutes.

Please send your proposal for a poster presentation of no more than 100 words before April 1, 2016.

You will be notified if your contribution has been accepted by June 1, 2016.

Please send your contributions and posters in plain text format (no tables or charts) in the body of an e-mail message (not as an attachment) to the Program Chair, Associate Professor Kimmo Granqvist, kimmo.granqvist@sh.se.

Submissions should include the author’s name, institutional affiliation (if relevant), address, daytime telephone and e-mail address.
