The 2017 Baltic Sea Conference on Romani Studies is scheduled for Wednesday, 19 April through Friday, 21 April, 2017 at Södertörn University, in Stockholm, Sweden. The conference will be organised by the Centre for Baltic and East European Studies (CBEES) at Södertörn University.

The 2017 Baltic Sea Conference on Romani Studies will follow a line of annual meetings among academic scholars working on different aspects of Romani Studies, including history, anthropology, political science, sociology and linguistics. The primary goal is to maintain and develop scientific multidisciplinary discussion, and to further networking and cooperation in Romani Studies in the Nordic countries and the Baltic Sea area. The conference will bring together established scholars, post-doctoral researchers and postgraduate students active in the field, and provide them a forum to present their on-going work as well as to discuss it with a multidisciplinary audience.

The participants will need to pay their own travel and accommodation costs. There is no participation fee.

The abstracts written in English should be submitted electronically to kimmo.granqvist@sh.se. All abstracts will be reviewed by the conferences international Programme Committee.
