Helge Hüttenrauch is a senior lecturer at Södertörn University teaching within the Institute of Communication, media and IT department, e.g. courses as Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User-centred systemdesign (USD), and Mobile Systems and Interfaces, to name but a few.

Helge is involved in a data journalistic research where Public-sector information (according to the European PSI directive) is systematically collected, analyzed and prepared for publication in form of interactive news-services. The project was financed by Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (Vinnova) and worked upon in close co-operation with the journalist department and the media companies Glykol and Swedish Television (SVT).

Helge has a history of working with research questions dealing with innovation, usability, accessibility and interaction design, e.g., within projects for the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and different EU framework research projects (Cogniron, CommRob). Topics within these endeavors cover for example an investigation into future interaction technologies, design for user-experience qualities, and interaction for and with semi-autonomous, embodied systems for the home.
