I finished my PhD in sociology at the School of Social Sciences in March 2018. The title of my dissertation is "A Changing Energy Landscape: Framing Controversial Siting on Northern Gotland". As understood from the title, my main research interests are environemntal- and energy sociology. I am however also interested in welfare, class, globalisation and urban-rural issues. Adrienne Sörbom,  Kerstin Jacobsson and Anna Storm were my supervisors.

In short, my PhD thesis iconcerns how local actors frame contemporary energy challenges when they substantialize in the form of infrastructural siting, for instance the Nord Stream gas pipeline or wind power. The multi-level and complex nature of the framing is of particular interest.

Keywords Research Interests:

Environmental sociology, energy, siting, local identity, social practices, narrative study,
framing, legitimization, place, risk, globalization, welfare state
