Katarina Friberg, born 1974, Senior Lecturer in History at the Institute of Contemporary History. Her fields of research are social movements, consumer co-operation, humanitarian aid, fair trade, and business model transfers. She has also engaged in research on town planning and regeneration of former industrial towns during a stay as Leverhulme Research Fellow at Teesside University in Middlesbrough in 2008. Currently she is one of four researchers in the project "The Moral Economy of Global Civil Society: A History of Voluntary Food Aid", project leader Professor Norbert Götz at the Institute of Contemporary History.
