Interactive Media Design

Programme 60 credits

The 60-credit Master’s programme in Interactive Media Design concerns theories, methods and tools for the design of interactive experiences from a human-centred perspective.

Programme content

This Master’s programme is recommended for students with an interest in interactive media, interaction design and media technology. The emphasis is on attaining theoretical and practical skills with relevance for the design of interactive experiences. Areas that are covered include user experience, sketching and prototyping, design thinking, critical design, and design theory. The programme also allows for individual specialisations in particular fields of interest.

During the first semester, students are offered courses aimed at theoretical, methodological and practical training in the aforementioned areas. The second semester focuses entirely on a Master’s project and dissertation.

After the programme

This programme provides students with a wide skills set in digital media and information technology, preparing students for a variety of careers, such as project manager, interaction and user experience designer, developer and producer. It is also a suitable basis for a research career in media technology.
