Interior from Södertörn UniversityThe School of Culture and Education includes the following subjects: English, Aesthetics, Philosophy, Gender Studies, Art History, Comparative Literature, Media and Communication Studies, Education, Rhetoric and Swedish, as well as Teacher Education and the Centre for Studies in Practical Knowledge.

Teachers and researchers at the school largely work across subject boundaries, and Teacher Education involves teachers from a number of subjects at the school and from other academic schools at the university.

The Study Information Desk MD 579 belongs to the School of Culture and Education, The Teacher Education and The Police Education. This is where you will meet the people who work with the administration of the courses and programmes at the School.

Please, always e-mail your secretary first, before visiting the Information Desk, thank you.

At the Study Information Desk, you are welcome to:

  • Submit take-home examinations and assignments.
  • Collect examinations that you have taken. You must show your students' ID or other ID to be able to sign out your exam paper. Exam papers are saved for two years.
  • Collect copies of previous exam papers to help prepare you examinations.
  • For all other questions, please e-mail us for a swift and accurate reply.

Opening hours: Monday – Thursday, 12.30–15.00. Friday 12.00-13.00

Student Service. Sometimes the phone lines to the study information desks can be very busy, making it difficult to get through. If you have simple questions relating to education and admissions, Södertörn University's information service, Student Service, can often answer them. You can call the Student Service on: +46 (0)8 608 3200, or e-mail: studentservice@sh.se. Student Service is open Monday to Friday, year round, 9.00–12.00 and 12.30–15.00.

School/Department Secretary. If you have specific questions about your education, you may need to contact the School/Department Secretary who is responsible for your programme or course.

Careers and Study Guidance Advisor. If you would like to discuss your educational choices or your study situation, you can contact the careers and study guidance advisor that is linked to your programme or subject. You can find their contact details under the Staff tab (above) – see Careers and Study Guidance Advisor. All careers and study guidance advisors treat everything in confidentiality.
