    Nuclear Legacies: Community, Memory, Waste and Nature

    An international multi-disciplinary conference on nuclear communities, museum storytelling, radioactive waste and emerging post-nuclear natures.

    What? An international multi-disciplinary conference on nuclear communities, museum storytelling, radioactive waste and emerging post-nuclear natures, with the aim to highlight ongoing research in the field, to form a scholarly network and to outline critical topics for future research.

    How? Paper presentations and reflections, study visits to two closed down nuclear facilities in the Stockholm region, R1 and Ågesta, provocative artistic interventions and a public panel discussion with heritage professionals at the National Museum of Science and Technology.

    Nuclear heritage - what to do with it? // Arvet efter kärnkraften – vad gör vi med det?

    Welcome to vernissage for an exhibition about Ågesta, Swedens first commercial nuclear reactor located in the Stockholm suburb of Farsta, and a panel discussion where international nuclear heritage scholars meet representatives for Swedish heritage organisations.

    Friday 15 September at 4-6 PM at the National Museum of Science and Technology, Stockholm. The event is free of charge, but please send a note to olena.podolian@sh.se if you plan to attend.
