Continuation course in Swedish for internationally recruited staff
This course is a continuation of the beginner’s Swedish course given during the fall 23 at Södertörn University. The course is led by PhD Ulf Larsson, lecturer in Swedish at Södertörn University. He has taught Swedish as a Foreign Language for almost 10 years, mostly at Osaka University, Japan.
Among aspects studied will be the temporal system of Swedish verbs, advanced Swedish syntax, idiomatic Swedish, domain related vocabularies, literary texts, conversational patterns, style and register, different text genres and the more. Having mastered the learning objectives of the continuation course, you will have knowledge of Swedish corresponding to the A2 level of CEFR (and a bit of the B1 level).
The course consists of 9 lessons of 3 hours each (13-16 h): 12/4, 19/4, 26/4, 3/5, 9/5, 17/5, 24/5, 31/5, 7/6
Knowledge of Swedish corresponding to CEFR level A1 is mandatory for this course. Please also notice that this course is not linked to the ordinary LADOK credit system, but upon mastering the learning objectives, you will receive a course diploma at the end of the course.
