Vernissage Atmospheric Forest, an VR- installation by the Rasa Ŝmite and Raitis Ŝmits.

Welcome to the public opening of an art installation visualising complex relations between forest and climate. The exhibition will be open on weekdays from November 7th - December 18th 2025.

Visitors are greeted by visual and audio representations of the communication between forest and climate through video art, immersive VR and objects. The artists have conducted direct research into the impact of climate change on forests. Here, the interaction patterns between the emissions of the pines in Pfynwald, an old Swiss alpine forest, and the local weather conditions which is strongly affected by drought, emerges. The exhibition also presents collaboration with natural scientists.
