My PhD-project explores religiosity in young adults on the autism spectrum, for instance in relation to supernatural agents, paranormal experience and religious coping strategies. The approach is anthropological in the sense that I am spending much time with the participants, and aim at acquiring perspectives from the inside of the autism spectrum.

The study draws on methods and theories from the psychology of religion, cognitive science of religion and autism research. Importantly, cognition is here understood as both embrained and embodied, and sensory aspects of autism are central.

My other main fields of interest include supernatural fiction, health and religion, and gender issues. I also lecture on multicultural approaches to religious education and development of empathy for the "Children of Abraham" (a non-political and non-religious organistion within Sigtunastiftelsen).
