In my research I am interested in understanding and explaining the patters of religiosity among people for whom religion is not a central concern. In my dissertation Living simultaneity: On religion among semi-secular Swedes I focus culturally Christian Swedes and their particular ways of doing secularity. My current research (within the frames of the project “The Muslim Mainstream – Co-producing secularity in Sweden”) connects two fields of research that hitherto rarely has been studied in intersection. One is the growing field of secular and non-religious studies and the other is the field of Muslims in Europe, especially the sub-field sometimes referred to as Lived Islam.
The researcher is not participating in any projects at this moment.
