Christina Svens, director of studies (third cycle) is a senior lecturer and associate professor in Comparative Literature with drama orientation. Her research interests include theatre and performance, aesthetic learning processes and intersectional perspectives on modern and contemporary literature and drama. Her latest research project, financed by the State Research Council, dealt with Kurdish-Swedish actors and how their use of ethnicity as an identity dimension in their stage art among other things questioned racist opinions in the Swedish society. She is a member of the International Federation for Theatre Research and of the national network of Theatre Research.
