Christofer Berglund is Associate Professor of Political Science. His research focuses on ethnic conflict, security studies, and democratization, with a regional emphasis on post-Soviet Eurasia.
In his PhD External link., Berglund examined the efforts of the Georgian government following the Rose Revolution to integrate two ethnic borderlands. He has worked as an analyst for the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI External link.), as a SYLFF External link. postdoc at the Department of Government, Uppsala University, and as researcher at the Department of Security Studies, Charles University External link..
He currently leads two research projects: "Planning for Integration: Landscapes of Power in Borderland Governance" [INBORDER] External link. with funding from Formas and "Fighting for Rights: Ukraine's Rainbow Soldiers and the Politics of Citizenship" [INSIST] External link. with funding from the Foundation for Baltic and East European Studies.
