Research interests: Diaspora studies, ethnic intermediation, international migration, memory laws, political incorporation, and urban sociology.

I study the policy outcomes of ethnic intermediaries’ adaptive strategies in different geopolitical contexts. My previous work has included case studies of the Armenian diaspora in Argentina, Australia, Bulgaria, Romania, and the US. My postdoctoral research investigates post-communist political transition and ethnic politics in Europe.
