Maria Bergman is Ph D in Human Geography. The main focus of her research has been different aspects of port development. In her ongoing research Maria Bergman has lead an interdisciplinary research projects which studied waterfront redevelopment and sustainable urban development in Sweden. She is also developing further research interest in Maritime Spatial Planning.
