Associate professor at Södertörn University since fall 2017. My research interests are in the field of international relations. In my works, I have written extensively on the European integration process. I have spent a large part of my academic career in Central Europe and one of the focal points of my research has been the question of how the European Union’s eastern enlargement has changed the EU and the region of Central and Eastern Europe. In theoretical terms, I am interested in understanding the driving forces behind regional integration processes but also in the question of how norms change and diffuse in international politics, among others. I am the author of the book Europeanization of Environmental Policy in the New Europe: Beyond Conditionality (Ashgate/Routledge – 2014). I have also published my works in Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of Contemporary European Research and Cooperation and Conflict, among others.
