Sheila Ghose holds a BA from Stockholm University (1988), an MA in Critical and Cultural Theory from the University of Wales (1993), and a Doctorate in English from New York University (2006). She has taught at NYU and at a number of Swedish universities and has published on British Asian literature and on postcolonial Sweden. She is currently working on a study of a number of fake memoirs and plagiarized novels that claim to tell stories of minority and postcolonial subjectivities. She is also involved in a research project on refugee literature, human rights and the writing of empathy. Her teaching and research interests include postcolonial literature and theory, minority discourse, gender studies, cultural studies, and modern critical theory.
