Tortalk is easy to use and automatically converts text on your screen into speech. The program is primarily developed for those who have some type of reading impairment, but is also useful when you read in a language other than your first. For example, if your first language isn't Swedish, or if you are struggling with academic texts in English. Or just want to be able to vary your reading.

As a student at SH you can download Tortalk free of charge on your own computer. It is available for both Windows and Mac. You can choose for yourself the languages and voices you want, voices are available in 20 different languages. After you finish your studies, you can keep the program but do not have access to new updates. The program will also be available in all computer rooms on campus.

At the Funka page you will the information you need to get started.
