From now on, the barcode on your library card is also available in digital format. This means you can borrow books by scanning the barcode with your mobile phone at the self-checkout machine's scanner.

To access the digital barcode of your library card, you need to log in to My loans External link.. Click on the Contact details tab or follow the link “Click here to see your barcode and card number" the Loans tab.

Please note that you can only use your digital barcode when borrowing books at the self-checkout machines. You still need to enter your PIN code manually. In My loans External link., you can find and change your PIN code. To borrow books at the library's information desk, you need your physical library card or valid identification card.

Just like before, it is still possible to see the library card number in My loans External link.. You can borrow books at the self-checkout machine either by manually entering the library card number, or by scanning the library card's barcode – physical or digital.
