Student using Legimus? Important: check your account and your literature list.
Major changes are now taking place at Myndigheten för tillgängliga medier (MTM), the authority responsible for creating accessible literature. To access your course books as talking books, you need to do two things.

Check and change Legimus library if necessary
Legimus has now been split into two parts. After the split, only those who have a Legimus account connected to their university will have access to course literature. Like before, you need a reading impairment caused by a disability in order to get a Legimus account.
If you obtained your Legimus account at, for example, a public library or your high school library, you will therefore need to move your account to Södertörn University. This applies to all students at Södertörn University, Red Cross University and SMI. If you don't remember where you obtained your account, check to be sure.
Do this:
- Go to "Mina uppgifter" in Legimus External link, opens in new window. (the website, not the app). At the top you will see which library you belong to.
- If it says Södertörn University, you do not need to do anything.
- If you see the name of another library, scroll down and select "Byt bibliotek". We will then receive a request for a change and as soon as we have approved it, you will be able to access your course literature also after the split.
It is important that you do this as soon as possible so that you do not suddenly lack access to the course literature.
You can also email us at talbok@sh.se if you feel unsure and we will help you.
Check your literature list
This semester we have not been allowed to order production of talking books in advance, which is something we normally do. It is therefore even more important than before that you make sure that your course literature is in Legimus and let us know if anything is missing.
Do this:
- Search for the books in legimus.se.
- Is something missing? Request new talking book.
In order to produce a new talking book, the following demands must be met:
- It has to be a book, not for example an article.
- The book must be mandatory (not reference literature).
- The whole book (or almost) must be on your reading list.
Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions!
