Doctoral studentships open for application

From January to March, Södertörn University will be advertising around thirty doctoral studentships in 15 subjects, for which the period of study/employment begins on 1 September 2023.

The first round of vacancies is open for applications from 10 January to 13 February, and the second is open 10 February to 13 March. In the first round, doctoral studentships at the Baltic and East European Graduate School (BEEGS) are advertised, as well as other vacancies that are not affiliated with a graduate school.

As the university is entering into agreements with six new graduate schools in 2023, there are more doctoral studentships available than usual. These vacancies are mainly advertised in the second round, which opens in February. A couple of graduate schools will announce their doctoral studentships before this. Information about five of these graduate schools is available here External link. (link in Swedish). The sixth is “Transformering i planeringens gränssnitt” (TRANSPLACE – transformation in the planning interface) and is part of the research area for doctoral studies called the Theory of Practical Knowledge External link. at the Centre for Studies in Practical Knowledge. The graduate school aims to develop and implement bold and ambitious initiatives in the sustainability transformation, working with key actors in Swedish urban development and transport planning.

Vacant doctoral studentships will be advertised on the university’s webpage for vacant positions External link. from 10 January 2023.
