Invitation to Apply for MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2026
Södertörn University invites motivated researchers with a strong track record to prepare joint applications for the 2026 call for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA-PF), with a deadline of 9 September 2026.
MSCA-PFs are among the most prestigious research fellowships in Europe and are a central component in the first pillar of Horizon Europe (Excellent Science). The objective of MSCA-PF is to support early career researchers, enhance their creative and innovative potential, and foster excellence in research. All domains of research and technological development are eligible for funding.
Two types of fellowships
European Postdoctoral Fellowships are open to researchers of any nationality who wish to engage in R&I projects by either coming to Europe from any country in the world or moving within Europe (12-24 months).
Global Postdoctoral Fellowships are open to European nationals or long-term residents who wish to engage in R&I projects with organisations outside the EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associated Countries (12-24 months outgoing phase in a non-associated Third Country & 12 months mandatory return phase to a host organisation in Europe).
Budget
MSCA PF provides an attractive allowance to cover your living costs, research, training and travel costs and secures funds to cover the indirect costs of the host organisation. Funding is calculated based on unit costs. Given the varied cost of living in different countries, a country correction coefficient applies to the living allowance.
Expert support for preparing your application
MSCA-PF applicants with Södertörn University as a host will receive support from the university's experienced research advisors for developing their application. They may also be eligible for an internal planning grant for funding consultations to help them develop more robust and competitive applications.
