Atmospheric Forest visualises the complex relationship between a forest, climate change and the atmosphere.
Visitors are greeted by visual and audio representations of the communication between forest and climate through video art, immersive VR and objects. The artists have conducted direct research into the impact of climate change on forests. The exhibition also presents their collaboration with scientists. Here, the interaction patterns between the emissions of the pines in Pfynwald, an old Swiss alpine forest, and the local weather conditions which is strongly affected by drought, emerges.
The exhibition was produced at the initiative of Prof. Karin Hansson, Södertörn University, in collaboration with the university’s research platforms Digital Transformations and Ecologically and Socially Just Sustainability Transformations.
