You will examine how different design choices influence a game, covering important theories and practical analysis exercises for deconstructing and refining design choices.

Many career choices in all areas of media technology Digital systems and technology are found in every industry. After studying Media Technology you can work in many different types of workplaces. Deconstruct and refine design choices using practical analysis The International Game Developers Association states that game analysis is a skill that all game designers should possess. This course covers the central theories of game design analysis, so you will learn about how different design choices influence a game, and important theories for analysing and critically evaluating these choices. The course is taught through lectures and seminars, weaving theoretical and practical elements into teaching, including practical analysis exercises for deconstructing and refining design choices. Your written analysis assignments are used to assess your performance.
