The course deals with nationalist mobilisation during a time of growing globalisation and changes in state borders – borders that have been both transcended by the forces of globalisation and strengthened by nationally orientated political decisions. The course deals with circumstances under which nationalism is strengthened or weakened when it meets the forces of globalisation.
