Children's literature in the classroom
Using studies of children’s literature and culture in English, you will improve your vocabulary and reading comprehension, as well as become more fluent at expressing yourself correctly in both spoken and written English. You will learn how to plan teaching in English, and to describe, motivate and exemplify how children’s literature and culture in English can be used in the classroom. The course also covers the use of digital tools and aesthetic learning processes in the classroom and how to choose them, and allows you to reflect on your role as a future teacher of English.
This course is taught through lectures, seminars and group exercises, and you will be examined through active participation in the seminars and seminar assignments, written and oral seminar and group assignments, as well as a written take-home examination.
