Decoding organisational phenomena from a range of perspectives

On this course, you will learn to describe, compare and assess the major theoretical approaches to the study of organisations, as well as to interpret and decode organisational phenomena from a variety of theoretical angles. For each theoretical approach, you will assess its applicability and limitations, suggesting refinements and alterations where relevant. You will also apply given theoretical frameworks in case analyses, and develop and discuss multi-faceted models for organisational study that combine and contrast different approaches.

Course design

The course is taught through mandatory seminars and examined on the basis of an oral and written presentation of one metaphor, one case presentation and your participation in the seminars.
