Enjoy the socio-cultural life of the cosmopolitan Swedish capital, study in our state-of-the-art library or walk in the beautiful forests close to the campus. Södertörn University has a thriving campus, where inspired, determined and creative critical thinkers come together to think innovatively and contribute to multidisciplinary, multicultural and liberal education.
Studying a Master’s degree at Södertörn University provides world-class education at a modern, world-minded university with outstanding facilities. The results of a survey carried out among our international students in 2018 showed that 96% of the respondents felt the facilities on campus met or exceeded their expectations.
We have around 12,000 students and offer approximately 70 programmes and 250 courses; fourteen programmes and 100 courses are offered in English. In 2018, we hosted more than 400 international students from many different countries. The concepts of diversity, active citizenship and multidisciplinary education are integrated in all our activities. Students are trained in critical and independent thought processes.
We are located in the south of Sweden’s capital city, Stockholm, and the university has excellent transport links to the rest of the city and the country. Stockholm, often referred to as the Capital of Scandinavia, was recently rated the fourth safest city in the world, and Sweden tops the global innovation rankings. Whether you love nature and the outdoors, are a keen concert and festival goer, a party animal, or a fastidious foodie, Stockholm is the right city for you. And it goes without saying that Sweden is renowned for its dedication and leadership in sustainability, technology, equality and inclusiveness.
We offer affordable student accommodation and student insurance for our international students, as well as a limited number of partial tuition fee waivers for international fee-paying students.
