Third stream activities

Partnerships with other societal actors are at the heart of the centre’s activities. We offer a place for cooperation and interaction between the university and the surrounding community.

The researchers at Reinvent are part of numerous partnerships for research and activities with external parties, at regional, national and international levels. City planners, politicians, white-collar workers, architects, construction companies, property owners, civil society. Everyone has the chance to work together to promote sustainable development in and around big cities.

  • Urban Girls Movement

#UrbanGirlsMovement aims to improve the lives of girls and young women in rapidly growing, socioeconomically deprived urban areas, through feminist urban planning. Urban planning is an unutilised tool for creating a more equal society overall, and the importance of expanding horizons and mapping global examples is striking.

The projectexternal link is led by the “Global utmaning” (Global Challenge) thinktank in partnership with Botkyrka Municipality and with financial support from Vinnova. Sara Ferlander and Tanya Jukkala from Reinvent are participants in the project’s research network.
