Emma Kihl is doctoral candidate in comparative literature. The thesis is trying read Agneta Enckell’s poetry in company with Isabelle Stengers's philosophy.

I am engaged in higher education in Sweden since three decades. In my spare time, I look into technical means of communication in some plays by August Strindberg.
I work as a senior lecturer in literature since 2018. In my research I focus queer perspectives and the human-animal relationship in northern-European literature after 1880.
My PhD project explore ideas of peace in theoretical and fictional works by Frida Stéenhoff, Elin Wägner and Hagar Olsson.

I´m working with aesthetic processes in education at the university.
My academic interest area is at the intersection of literature and queer theory. I teach in comparative literature and supervise essays within the police- and teacher programmes.
