Global Development Studies

The uneven distribution of power and economic resources is an important issue in an increasingly globalised world.

The relations between rich and poor nations are a central part of the subject. What are these relations like and why are they as they are? How do they affect global and local development in the short and long term? Development Studies examines issues of global development from an interdisciplinary perspective.

Research in Development Studies takes place in the research area of Environmental Studies, one of the university’s five research areas for doctoral studies.
