Teaches at all levels. Research interests include secularisation, new religions, "alternative spirituality", and Western esotericism (the latter also in relation to art/literature)
Research and education
I am a historian of religion, researching esotericism, occultism, contemporary spirituality, and new religious movements, focusing especially on issues of gender and sexuality.
My main research interests deal with subcultures and religion in contemporary Muslim majority societies. I am currently resaerching the black metal music scene in Turkey.

I'm working on my PhD thesis on nature contact and spiritual/existential health. In my teaching assignments, I maintain another specialty, Islam and Islamic cultures.
My main research areas are: Judaism, religion and sexuality, teaching religion, religion and gardening.
I am teaching in development theories, religiosity and existential questions. My research area is children, existential questions in relation to mental health.
My research have mainly been devoted to Islam and Sufism, historical and recent, in Sweden and globally. Several of my projects also concerns religion and migration.
Research, teaching and education analysis, mainly about "Religion and migration".
My research is ethnographic and historical and focuses on Scandinavian secularity. I have also studied Shiite Islamism and Pentecostal Christianity among Romani people.
