Historical and Contemporary Studies
My research is ethnographic and historical and focuses on three empirical areas: Shiite Islamism, Pentecostal Christianity among Romani people and Scandinavian secularity.
My main research interests deal with subcultures and religion in contemporary Muslim majority societies. I am currently resaerching the black metal music scene in Turkey.
I'm working on my PhD thesis on nature contact and spiritual/existential health. In my teaching assignments, I maintain another specialty, Islam and Islamic cultures.
Research, teaching and education analysis, mainly about "Religion and migration".
