Graduation ceremonies
Are you about to complete your studies? Congratulations!
Whether you are enrolled in a programme or have taken freestanding courses, you can participate in a graduation ceremony in June. This is a formal occasion to mark the completion of your studies and provides an opportunity to recognise and celebrate your achievements together with fellow students, family, and friends.
The ceremonies will take place on 4–5 June 2026 in the main auditorium at Södertörn University and are intended for students in the final semester of a programme, as well as those who have completed their studies through freestanding courses. Students in Teacher Education and Police Education will not be participating, as the programmes have separate graduation ceremonies.
Each ceremony has a formal programme of speeches, music and a recognition of your time as a student. This will be a memorable occasion to mark the end of your studies and look ahead to the future.
Registration is essential. Information about registration, and dates and times for each programme's ceremony, will be updated on this page. An invitation with more detailed information will also be sent via Canvas.

Frequently asked questions
Who can attend the ceremonies?
All students at Södertörn University who are in the final semester of their studies are invited to participate. This applies to students in all programmes except teacher education programmes and the police training programme.
When does registration open?
Registration opens in early April (week 14). A link will be sent via Canvas.
When will my ceremony take place?
The ceremonies are held over two days: 4–5 June. There will be one or two ceremonies each day. You can see which day your programme’s ceremony takes place in the list above. Exact times will be published on this page in mid-April.
Can I bring guests?
Each student may invite two guests. If more guests can be accommodated, we will share this information at a later stage. We also hope to live-stream the ceremonies for those who are unable to attend in person.
