Parking
Travelling to the university by car? If you want to park at the university, here’s how.
You must have a parking permit (sticker) to be able to park in the university car parks. This is free of charge and can be collected from Infocenter, provided you have valid ID. Permits are valid until the end of the year, after which they need to be replaced. It must be displayed in your windscreen.
As well as displaying the permit, you must also buy a parking ticket. You can do this in the AimoPark app or use our ticket machine, which is located by the narrow car park between the library’s lawn and one of Karolinska Institutet’s buildings. If you use the app, make sure you register the correct vehicle. If you buy a ticket in the machine, both the ticket and your parking permit must be visible in the windscreen.
The following parking charges apply:
Students and staff with parking permits:
SEK 20 per hour, SEK 84 per day and SEK 575 for 30 days.
Visitors with a borrowed parking permit:
SEK 20 per hour, SEK 84 per day.
The university has car parks below the Primus building and alongside the lawn behind the library.
Other car parks in the area are shown on Campus Flemingsberg’s website. External link.
Please respect Huddinge Municipality’s rules for idling cars:
Section 6. Idling: A combustion engine in a stationary motor vehicle may be left running outdoors for no longer than one minute.
This does not apply:
- if traffic conditions have caused the vehicle to stop, e.g. in a traffic jam
- if the engine is kept running – to the extent necessary for the proper operation of the vehicle – to power a device (on the vehicle) other than one intended for heating.
