Password for your SH-Account

Do you often forget the password for your SH-Account, or do you want to change it? This page has all the information you need.

Have you forgotten your password or didn’t manage to change it in time? The information here tells you how to change or recover the password to your SH-Account.

When you first receive your SH-Account, you must change/update the single-use password to a new password via sh.se/aktivera. If you use a computer at the university, you can change/update the single-use password when you log in.

When you choose a password, remember to follow the password criteria listed further down the page.

You can change your password via SH-StudyWeb, Office365 or a computer in an ICT suite. Change the password for your SH-Account. External link.

When you change your password it is synchronised across all systems (university computers, DiVA, Office 365, SH-StudyWeb and the university’s wireless network).

It may take up to 15 minutes for your new password to work.

Your password must:

  • have at least ten characters
  • have at least one upper case letter, one lower case letter, one special character and one number
  • not contain your name or username
  • not use the ' apostrophe or Swedish letters like Å, Ä or Ö

You reset the password for your SH-Account when you collect it.

Please note that when you collect your SH-Account, your multi-factor authentication method is also reset, so you will have to reactivate it.
