Reserving books

All library card holders can reserve books at the library. Here's how.

Reduced opening hours and changed routines due to the Corona virus outbreak

The library is currently closed to the public. Open exclusively to students and staff members at SH, RKH and SMI with SH cards. Shorter opening hours and limited service at the information desk, please see page Contact and opening hours for details. Read more about how the pandemic is affecting the library services.

Reserving books is free of charge.

To reserve a book, search for the book in the library search tool SöderScholarexternal link, opens in new window and click on the title. Click the button "Reserve". This will take you to My loans, where you get to log in and confirm the reservation.

You can't reserve any available books, day loans or reference books, neither can you call and ask us to put them aside for you.

Are you a member of the public and not yet a library card holder? Do you wish to reserve a book before coming to the library? Fill out the form Apply for a library card (not available at the moment, due to temporary pandemic restrictions) and you can have a temporary library card number sent to your email address.

Pick up reserved books

We will send you an e-mail when you can collect the book. Make sure to keep an eye on your spam folder.

Unable to collect the book yourself? You can send someone else to get it for you. They must bring their own as well as your valid ID. During the current period when the outer doors are locked due to the corona pandemic, they must be a student or member of staff at SH, RKH or SMI, since they can only enter using their own key card.
