Lappkärrsberget, or “Lappis” as it is known, is in the beautiful surroundings of Norra Djurgården, in the middle of the National City Park. Several thousand students live here in their very own part of the city, five minutes’ walk from Stockholm University. The mix of Swedish and international students and families creates a unique atmosphere.

Lappis was built in the late sixties and consists of buildings of four to six storeys, primarily traditional halls of residence – single rooms in student corridors. However, there are also a range of student apartments– from one to four rooms – as well as a nursery school and several play areas. A new, circular building known as Fysikern (the Physicist) was constructed here in 2000.
