What's included?

Theoretical and methodological skills for analysing real-world problems

A Master’s programme is different to studying an undergraduate degree, as it requires more independent work and self-motivation. It also has a clear focus on in-depth analysis and the problematisation of knowledge. You learn to use your theoretical and methodological skills as tools to identify, structure and analyse economic problems. This degree programme also provides you with insights into and in-depth knowledge of how companies and organisations develop and use their innovation capacity in global competition.

The third semester provides you with the opportunity to specialise in an area of your choice. You can choose from courses offered at Södertörn University, or at other universities in Sweden and abroad. The fourth semester focuses on writing your dissertation.

You are expected to study full-time. There are lectures, seminars and practical seminars in computer laboratories, and you will be awarded grades based on both written examinations and take-home examinations, as well as on your Master’s dissertation. There is a great deal of independent study, although work on the dissertation also includes seminars, writing workshops and meetings with your supervisor.
