At Södertörn University, you will encounter different kinds of exams. Some are given as written final exams, others as written assignments, essays or projects. They can also be oral, such as individual or group presentations at seminars.
Applicants from outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland are required to pay tuition fees. However, not all third country students are required to pay fees; information about whether you are exempt can be found at www.universityadmissions.se. Students who are in Sweden as part of an exchange agreement are exempt from application and tuition fees, regardless of their nationality.
We organise regular webinars and attend physical, digital, and hybrid education fairs where we offer an opportunity for our prospective international students to meet us and learn more about Södertörn University. Below you can find the schedule of the upcoming events in autumn/winter 2023-2024.
If you wish to study at Södertörn University as an exchange student, you need to start by contacting the International Office at your home university to find out how you can be selected as an exchange student.
Read the guide to higher education. It has information about how to apply for courses and programmes, explanations of terms and the structure of Swedish higher education, as well as where you can turn to for help and advice.
