The Russian War on Ukraine and the Russian Society

This online roundtable is aimed to discuss transformations of the Russian society that made it possible for a big part of the Russian population to support the war on Ukraine.

The roundtable participants will discuss political campaigns, media, state-supported social organizations and other aspects of social changes in Russia during recent years. In addition, we will consider how the conflict is perceived, what strategies the government is deploying to control information flows and manipulate the conflict’s leading narratives and try to evaluate the nature of popular support and opposition.
