Distinguished Lecture with Professor Sonia Kruks: Thinking About Old Age with Simone de Beauvoir

Drawing insights from the work of Simone de Beauvoir, the lecture considers what it means to become old and why we so often fear old age.

Lecturer: Sonia Kruks, Danforth Professor of Politics Emerita at Oberlin College, USA. Professor Sonia Kruks is a political philosopher who is best known for her scholarly work on the political and social ideas of the French existentialists. She has also published extensively on feminist theory.

The lecture will be held on a big screen.
