Presentation: Participation and mathematization in early algebra teaching in Swedish classrooms
The seminar will report observations from a comparative study of how students in four countries (SF/N/S/US(CA)) grapple with and mathematize patterns. Pattern recognition is a prominent feature of early algebra learning.
