Participatory research methods in the digital age
The EcoJust and Digital Transformations platforms invite to the workshop reviewing tools, approaches, and ethical considerations regarding participatory research methods in the digital age.
Research methods such as participatory observation and participatory design often assume that the phenomenon being studied exists in a defined time and place. But digital tools have challenged the boundaries of the time and the context in which "participation" takes place. Today, people's work places and life worlds can be distributed across different locations and tools and occur both synchronously and asynchronously. These digital transformations require a revision of our research tools and approaches and a review of fundamental assumptions and ethical considerations.
The aim of this workshop is to share experiences among researchers from different disciplines at Södertörn University.
