The Digital Transformations research platform invites to research seminar: Automation & Communication

The rapid technological developments in digital society provokes the rethinking of some of the basic concepts of the philosophy of technology. How can we understand a phenomenon such as automation in the face of the introduction of technological advanced automation processes in increasingly more areas of life? And how can, and must, we rethink communication in the face of human-machine communication?

Marcia Sa Cavalcante Schuback and Göran Bolin introduce some theoretical problems actualised by recent developments in automated processes in techno-capitalist society. As a basis for the discussion is suggested two texts that Sa Cavalcante and Bolin will talk around as an introduction to the seminar.
